Colwinston Community Council

Vale agree to Development

Added on 23 January 2015

The Vale of Glamorgan Planning Committee votes 16 to 3 to allow the redrow development to proceed subject to some conditions cancerning drainage.

A number of villagers attended the meeting and were disappointed to find that our local member Ray Thomas was not supported by his Conservative colleagues and only had support from one Plaid Cymru member and one UKIP member.

There is considerable outrage as a result of this as well as Assembley Minister Carl Sargeant refusing to "call ll in" the application.

The Community Council is grateful for the huge participation from the village in the campaign and remain astonished that the Vale Planning Department has chosen to ignore the professional concerns on the Redrow plan submitted by our Planning Experts.
